UFOs and the Bible – Are Aliens Demons?

Category: Misc 15,205 14

[This is part three in a three part series. Click here for part one and here for part two.]

In the first two parts of this series I discussed the theological and scientific problems of UFOs and aliens. In this article, I will discuss who I believe the aliens really are – demons. That’s right. Most people think that this is a silly conclusion but I believe that the evidence is there, and it may change your worldview. Are aliens demons? Let’s take a look.

The Evidence we have for UFOs

I want to begin with a problem not previously discussed in this series. This is simply that there is no direct, physical evidence for UFOs. We have no spacecraft to examine.[1] An eye-opening fact concerning UFO sightings is that the planet Venus is the most commonly mistaken object for a UFO (27 percent of all sightings)! That is astounding to me personally. More than a quarter of all UFO sightings are actually the planet Venus! Other mistaken objects include:

  1. Satellites in orbit or burning up on re-entry.
  2. Rocket launches or the space station.
  3. Meteors or meteor showers.
  4. Weather balloons
  5. Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis
  6. Flocks of birds
  7. Aircraft
  8. Reflections of the sun on different objects
  9. Car headlights or streetlights
  10. Insect swarms
  11. Parachutes and kites
  12. Lightening (especially ball lightening which is very rare)
  13. Noctilucent (“night light”) clouds. These clouds are ice-crystals in high altitude and glow at night from reflected sunlight.
  14. Lenticular clouds (lens-shaped clouds that actually look like flying saucers).[2]

It is obvious that a majority of UFO sightings are simply mistaken identity. When it comes down to it, only about 2-5% of all UFO sightings are truly unidentified objects in the sky.[3] This tells us that people throughout the world are eager to witness something. Humanity wants to see something beyond our world. UFO researcher Gary Bates says:

“It is true that the majority of sightings are the result of mistaken identity, and some have proven to be conscious lies or imaginary events. Similarly, in the realm of abductions, a great percentage may be psychological delusions, hoaxes, and shallow attempts to gain attention and fame. But despite the myriad of explanations, too many ordinary people with far more to lose than to gain by telling fanciful stories go to their graves never resiling from their accounts of the events. There is no question that something mysterious, quite real, and very serious is going on. Sadly, much of this is being exploited by those bringing their various agendas to the evidence. However, I have genuine respect for those involved in genuine UFO research, and enormous compassion for those who have been subject to seemingly inexplicable sightings and from the terrifying ordeals of abduction experiences, often with very disturbing consequences. To not have closure about why such things are happening to them must be emotionally devastating.”[4]

The typical explanation for UFOs and abductions that skeptics use is that UFOs are based on science fiction – everyone is getting these ideas from movies, television, etc. The problem with this argument is that the UFO phenomenon, including abductions, is occurring all over the world, including Third World countries. Is every person in Africa, the Middle East, rural India or China a sci-fi buff? That is very doubtful. “Demographically, people are being abducted across the social, political, economic, ethnic, intellectual, and geographic spectra. It is fair to assume that most people have read or seen some form of science fiction at some point in their lives…But the fantasy-driven explanation cannot account for every individual’s experience.”[5]

UFOlogist John Keel has said:

“Millions of people have been affected at least temporarily by UFO contact, [and] thousands have gone insane and ended up in mental institutions after their experiences with these things began.”[6] (Bates, 295)

Journalist Mark Pilkington adds to this discussion:

“There have been too many from reliable and multiple witnesses, too many radar and visual correlations by pilots, too many films and photographs, too many blacked out military and government documents. For them all to be hoaxes, misidentifications, and hallucinations seem more unlikely than most of the other explanations put forward over the years.”[7]

The fact that so many people throughout the world are seeing something should caution us against simply brushing the UFO issue aside as some kind of crazy talk. We need to look at the available evidence to come to a conclusion.

Evidence that we do have for UFOs

Although many UFO and abduction stories are not real, there is evidence that there is something going on with some people. Evidence we do have includes:

  1. Collateral evidence – scorch marks, burnt or damaged plants that can take longer than normal to recover, and depressions in the ground. These occur at places where eyewitnesses say they saw a UFO land.
  2. Electromagnetic disturbances occur that cause power outages and interference with cars, electrical systems, and other devices.
  3. Radar detection. Believe it or not, there is evidence of radars picking up objects that professionals cannot explain; things that should not be in the place where they are detected and quite frankly, should not exist.
  4. Physical effects on humans and animals. Animals typically get spooked just before and during UFO sightings. Humans will experience headaches, dizziness, nausea, and other symptoms during an encounter.[8]

Evidence of another nature

Even though we have the above evidence available, there is other data that most do not realize exist. First off, UFOs have appeared in many different shapes including:

  1. Luminous objects at night (like balls of light)
  2. Disk shaped (the most common)
  3. Rocket- or cigar-shaped

Some think that these are simply secret-government technologies. However, as I discussed in part 2 of this series, the way that UFOs behave is impossible for real, material objects in our universe to act.

There is also a lot of testimony that UFOs change shape. They appear to slip in and out of our reality (disappear and reappear). How can something physical in our world do something like that? Many believe that since the alien beings could be millions of years older than us then they are millions of years more advanced than us. Look at how advanced we have become in just a hundred years! Surely the alien races are even more advanced! This idea is based only on evolution and is a faith. In any case, how can any physical object, no matter how old and advanced, defy the laws of physics? This sounds more supernatural than natural![9]

What is absolutely amazing is that there is no evidence anywhere that UFOs and their occupants are coming from outer space!

  1. There has never been a radar detection of one entering our atmosphere.
  2. Aliens seem to be able to live and breathe in Earth’s atmosphere without respiratory devices.
  3. UFOs have been fired upon by American, Canadian, and Russian pilots and not one UFO has been shot down.
  4. “And startlingly, no UFOs sighted on differing occasions ever appear exactly alike.”[10] To go along with this, we have Gray aliens that are most common in the United States, “Nordics” (tall, blond, European-looking) that are common in England and Europe, and monster or bigfoot like aliens in Latin America. Why is it that only certain types or races of aliens appear to certain cultures?[11]

Bates summarizes it well:

  • “They [UFOs] are already here. Some way and somehow they appear to be emanating from our own planet.
  • They are visible yet do not seem to be real physical entities. In other words, they do not seem to be bound by the same physical laws as the rest of our material/natural world.
  • They and/or their occupants are sometimes willing to be seen, but do not appear to want to make open and friendly contact on a large scale.”[12]

How can a physical spaceship change shape? How can they vanish right in front of our eyes? Or materialize without being detected by nearby people or towns? Where are they hiding? Why do they move about quietly to abduct people and destroy their lives? Whether abductions are real or not, the abductees are never the same afterwards. It is clear to them that something horrible has happened. The unreal characteristics of UFOs and the message they bring suggest they have something to hide. This message being that the aliens are here to help us evolve to the next stage of evolution, and they want to make sure we do not destroy the earth and ourselves.[13]

Before we move on, I want to present another piece of startling evidence: the relationship of UFOs with the occult. Abductees speak about being transported through solid objects, like a wall or roof. This is similar to activities one will find in the occult such as astral travelling, or an “out of body experience.” Abductees also speak about being pulled toward a light which is similar to near-death experiences (NDE). In fact, some people who have had a NDE claim to have had seen aliens on the “other side” and even report seeing loved ones with the aliens. This seems to point to a psychic/spiritual nature of UFOs.

In fact, a majority of abductees and alien contactees develop an interest, and even participate, in New Age/occultic or Eastern mystical religions. Some claim to be able, besides astral travel, to develop psychic powers, and even witness poltergeists.[14]

John Ankerberg and John Weldon make an excellent point: “…how credible is it to think that literally thousands of extraterrestrials would fly millions or billions of light-years simply to teach New Age philosophy, deny Christianity, and support the occult…”?[15]

Where are they coming from?

So, where are these “space brothers” coming from and who exactly are they? Before looking at Scripture (where I believe we can discern the answers to our questions) let me quote a few world-famous UFOlogists. First up is Dr. J. Allen Hynek, the so-called “Galileo of UFOlogy.”[16] He is the creator of the Hynek Classification System, which classifies UFO encounters based a “close encounter” of the first, second, third, etc. kind. Yes, the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind was named after Hynek’s work. He even worked as a technical advisor for the movie, and had a small cameo role. After years of researching UFOs Hynek has come out as saying:

“The conclusion I’ve come to after all these years is that first of all, the subject is much more complex than any of us imagined. It has paranormal aspects but certainly it has very real physical aspects, too.”[17] He also said, “[The extraterrestrial] theory runs up against a very big difficulty, namely, that we are seeing too many UFOs. The Earth is only a spot of dust in the Universe. Why should it be honored with so many visits? … I am more inclined to think in terms of something metaphysical, a sort of parallel reality.”[18]

One author wrote about Hynek saying, “Hynek submitted that perhaps UFOs were part of a parallel reality, slipping in and out of sequence with our own. This was a hypothesis that obviously pained him as an empirical scientist. Yet after 30 years of interviewing witnesses and investigating sighting reports, radar contacts, and physical traces of saucer landings no other hypothesis seemed to make sense to him.”[19]

And he is not the only person to think like this. Well known researcher and writer on UFOs John Keel notes:

“The UFOs do not seem to exist as tangible, manufactured objects. They do not conform to the natural laws of our environment. They seem to be nothing more than transmogrifications tailoring themselves to our abilities to understand. The thousands of contacts with the entities indicate that they are liars and put-on artists. The UFO manifestations seem to be, by and large, merely minor variations of the age-old demonological phenomenon. Officialdom may feel that if we ignore them long enough, they will go away all together, taking their place with the vampire myths of the Middle Ages.”[20]

Jacques Vallee is another prominent UFOlogist. To show how respected he is in the field of UFOlogy, it is believed that the French character, Claude Lacombe, in Close Encounters of the Third Kind was based on him. He wrote:

“I pointed out in Invisible College that the structure of abduction stories was identical to that of occult rituals. I had shown in Passport to Magonia that contacts with ufonauts was only a modern extension of contact with non-human consciousness in the form of angels, demons, elves, and sylphs. Such contact includes abduction, ordeal (including surgical operations), and sexual intercourse with the aliens. It often leaves marks and scars on the body and the mind, as do UFO abductions.”[21]

Lastly, there is John Mack, another well-known UFOlogist. He says:

“It’s both literally, physically happening to a degree; and it’s also some kind of psychological, spiritual experience occurring and originating perhaps in another dimension.”[22]

What a minute? Did you just notice that some of the most respected UFO researchers in the world just admitted that there is a spiritual aspect to aliens! These men do not believe that UFOs are coming from outer space, but another dimension! Why do we not hear about this in Hollywood movies, documentaries, or television shows? Why do so many people interested in UFOs ignore this? Quite simply, the Interdimensional Hypothesis (IDH) contains way too many spiritual connotations. We live in a technological society that believes that science can explain everything and that God (or anything spiritual) is dead. So the idea of a spiritual connection to UFOs is often ignored.[23]

Who are they?

Notice that Mack noted that there seems to be a physical and spiritual aspect to the UFO phenomenon. Interestingly, we find this very concept in the Bible when it comes to Jesus! John 20:25-28 says:

“So the other disciples told him, ‘We have seen the Lord!’ But he [Thomas] said to them, ‘Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.’ A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you!’ Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’ Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’”

Since Thomas was able to touch Jesus we know he was real, yet Jesus could appear and disappear at his will. He could even go through walls! Jesus says in John 8:23, “…I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.” According to Scripture, Jesus is both God (a spiritual being) and man (a physical being with a soul). This fits well with the way Mack described the aliens.

Yet there is another way Jesus has connections with the UFO phenomenon. It is known among UFO researchers that Bible-believing Christians are absent among those who are abducted by aliens. “The Christians reporting the abduction experience tended to be people who intellectually espoused the existence of God, but didn’t apply it personally. But there seemed to be an obvious absence of devout, Bible believing, ‘walk the walk’ Christians. Where were they in this equation?”[24]

Data also shows that people who began to go through the abduction experience were able to halt it by invoking the name of Jesus. Sadly, even though there are many reports of this happening, most UFO researchers ignore it because it could damage their credibility or because they reject the idea of Christianity (many UFO researchers hold to a New Age/occultic belief system).[25]

Why are alien beings from another galaxy scared of the name of a carpenter who lived 2000 years ago? If Jesus was a nobody, then why do advanced beings from another planet, and who are supposedly millions of years older than humanity, tremble and flee at his name?

Jesus and a demon-possessed man (Mark 5:1-15)
Jesus and a demon-possessed man (Mark 5:1-15)

There is also the astonishing list compiled by Rev. Daniel R. Jennings. He has written an article (click here to see it for yourself) showing the similarities between UFO encounters and Demonic encounters! That’s right, demons! Here is what I wrote in a previous article about angels and demons:

“Throughout the Bible we hear about beings called angels. The Bible has much to say about angels, for example: 1) they are spirits but they always appear to humans as a physical man (Hebrews 1:14; Genesis 19:1; Luke 24:4) even to the point where they seem so real that we do not recognize them as being angels (Genesis 18:1-16; 19:5; Hebrews 13:2); 2) they are more powerful than men (2 Thessalonians 1:7; 2 Peter 2:11); 3) they can appear among and even interact with humans, even killing them (Genesis 16:9; 19:15; 1 Chronicles 21:15; Psalms 78:49; John 20:12). 2 Kings 19:35 even says that one angel, note only one, killed one hundred eighty-five thousand soldiers in one night; and 4) they are not to be worshipped (Romans 1:15; Colossians 2:18; Revelation 19:10).

In the New Testament, we find many different encounters with what the Bible calls demons, fallen angels who rebelled with Satan. Acts 8:7 tells us of Philip preaching and “unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed.” Matthew 8:28-34 tells about two demon-possessed men who were so violent that no could even pass in the general direction where they were. Jesus healed the men and the demons went into a herd of pigs. Matthew 17:14-23 describes how Jesus healed a boy with a demon who would give the boy seizures, and make him fall into the fire or the water. Demons are governed by Satan (Matthew 12:22-28).”

Satan and his followers want to convince people to reject the true God, and Satan himself wants to be the god of this world. This fits well with the fact that “aliens” want to change our religious beliefs and create a one world religion with them taking the top spot.

But would Satan really want to appear as an alien? Paul warns us in 2 Corinthians 11:14 that “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” Both UFOs and demons:

  1. Use false appearances – Satan and his demons want to appear to people as something they really are not. UFOs often appear as objects of light.
  2. Pretend to be good. “Aliens” say they are here to help us.
  3. Tell humans that they can attain godhood. Satan did this in Genesis 3 when he told Eve that she would become like God when she ate the fruit.[26]

“Although such occurrences are deceptive entities (fallen angels) manifesting from the spiritual realm, some might be surprised at their ability to manifest physically in our realm. This, once again, is due to a cultural idea about angels as being merely some sort of ethereal spirit (non-bodied) being and sometimes with fairy-type wings. The Bible indicates that angels are “ministering spirits” (Hebrews 1:14). In addition, Jesus was described as a “life-giving” or “quickening spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45), and God the Father is described as a Spirit (John 4:24), as is the Holy Spirit. The Bible also says that human beings have a spirit. So the spirit is not the sum of who we are, but a part of our being.”[27]

Keel has written:

“Demonology is not just another crackpot-ology. It is the ancient and scholarly study of the monsters and demons who have seemingly coexisted with man throughout history. Thousands of books have been written on the subject, many of them authored by educated clergymen, scientists, and scholars, and uncounted numbers of well-documented demonic events are readily available to every researcher. The manifestations and occurrences described in this imposing literature are similar, if not entirely identical, to the UFO phenomenon itself. Victims of demonomania (possession) suffer the very same medical and emotional symptoms as the UFO contactees … . The devil and his demons can, according to the literature, manifest themselves in almost any form and can physically imitate anything from angels to horrifying monsters with glowing eyes. Strange objects and entities materialize and dematerialize in these stories, just as the UFOs and their splendid occupants appear and disappear, walk through walls, and perform other supernatural feats.”[28]

Conclusion

All the evidence available points to a spiritual origin for UFOs, and the similarities between aliens and demons in the Bible is quite shocking. It is my belief that demons are appearing to modern people in a form that makes sense to their culture. Abduction experiences may be demonic possession, with the actual abduction in a spaceship being an illusion in the mind of a person. I am not saying that the experience never happened, but that it was more mental/spiritual then an actual physical experience in a real spaceship.

Satan and demons want to confuse people and keep them from coming to faith in Jesus Christ. What better way to confuse a technological society more than to appear to them in a way that fits their worldview – an evolutionary humanistic religion.

Could an explanation for UFOs being tracked by radar traveling extremely fast, making very sharp turns while at speed, and eyewitnesses reporting no sound, be that an unseen demonic entity is carrying a physical object (disc, cigar shape, etc.) while making those movements and speeds?

so all movies that involve aliens are demonic? Or is that totally different

My take for anyone willing to read it.

UFO’s and Aliens are demonic entities and fallen angels. Pseudo Science and Science fiction have been used to blind the masses to the truth. Science fiction movies and TV are a mind control manipulation tool of satan and his elite earthly minions to brainwash mankind to not question the lies of evolution, the big bang and the religion of scientisim that plagues human society. From forced educational indoctrination (it is illegal in the US to not send your children to school except homeschool states but they force required curriculum and state testing in most cases) to all forms of government media we are inundated daily and told what to believe. Most people follow without question. When I began to research everything from ancient history, science done by Christians from a biblical perspective, hidden archaeology and much more, the truth made it self clear. God is real. Since society and the media so openly attack Christianity while largely leaving the other religions alone it is obvious which is the truth of the God they hate so much. The history as written in the bible and missing scriptures intentionally left out by a corrupt ancient church (example the book of 1st Enoch which is quoted by Jude word for word and is referred to by Jesus himself when he speaks to the pharisees about marriage in heaven) Is the true history of the world. The evidence for Noahs flood is obvious and everywhere. (search youtube “Noahs Flood and Catastrophic Plate Tectonics” and ask yourself why every ancient culture has a flood in their history?) The fallen angels came to earth and had giants for offspring. (Read Genesis 6 followed by the book of 1st Enoch for deeper explanation and then search youtube for “The Remains of Giants”) and governments and other powers have been hiding the discoveries of the true red sea crossing, Sodom, The real Mt. Sinai, The altar of the golden calf, the rock split by Moses staff, Noah’s ark, and even the ark of the covenant and the true location of Jesus crucifixion. (Amazing and inspiring! Search Ron Wyatt on youtube. A true instrument of the Lord.) The aliens are the fallen angels and demons are the disembodied spirits of their nephilim offspring. They all answer to satan and the scriptures tell us that HE is the god of this world. The powerful and rich and famous of this world give him their allegiance. Nearly all forms of media, movies, television, books, music, false history, governments, sciences, education, religion and everything else you see is under satans control. So by extension it’s all demonic and satanic. Sightings of balls of light in the sky, strange craft, shapeshifters and other strange sky phenomenon have become a daily epidemic. (See youtube channel mrmbb333 for daily videos where people all over the world send him dozens of proofs daily. He claims to not know what these things are but I believe they are demonic. He also focuses on weather phenomenon but the UFO’s are in there too.) The massive uptick in activity of this nature may be an indication of the times we are in. (Is the veil lifting?) Our Father in heaven is being hidden from us and the gift of eternal life through faith and obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ is being obscured, mocked, ridiculed and oppressed. The churches are failing as they welcome sin filled sexual deviants as pastors and preach a watered down false christ that sounds like some kind of weak hippie that wants to make you rich. The masses who call themselves Christian flood into churches that tickle their ears and prosperity, money and tolerance is their gospel of choice. The word of their false god blinds them from the true gospel and the commandments, obedience, sin and repentance are nowhere to be found. Study the Word. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord. Repent of your sins. Keep the commandments. I’ll close this little rant with these two passages of scripture.

1 John 2:15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Revelation 18:4 “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

Or the stuff in our culture wether it’s movies or whatnot can just be fake and not satanic at all? Just saying cause (I’m not trying to criticize you) but this sounds like what a fundamentalist would say

For Joe M.. I like all you’ve said bar one thing: it was not a corrupt ancient church that determined the books of the bible. It may have been naive, but many historical articles never show it as corrupt. Just saying.

I realize it’s lame to say such words, but I SO agree with your words. You’re the person I could spend a bit of time with conversing about these things. True, the “church” today is a laughing stock. It is so riddled with corruption that it’s easy to manipulate the masses that congregate there as well as stay home. I’d LOVE to write back and comment, but it would take up the same amount of space as you did (haha). Oddly, I don’t feel as alone after reading your post. It seems “everyone” is mindless today, shallow as one can get, as well as completely devoid of discernment. Years back, I wondered what the earth would look like when things really started to fall apart for the last time and I honestly believe this is easily the beginning of the actual end. It’s so obvious(!) yet so many are oblivious to it. So much of the deception going on is SO in-your-face, yet people don’t see it. I want to scream, but deafness is rampant. People LOVE deception and distraction and as such, live the lie. Maybe this is what Jesus was referring to when he asked, “…will I find faith on the earth when I return?” Only a remnant will be found. Is this what the “remnant” looks like? Hmmm. I have to stop. I could write back the size of a book. Glad your eyes are open. Like Elijah, when he thought he was alone, the Lord said that others were alive with like mind. Great comfort. Blessings to you. Don’t give up.

That’s right! And there is not ONE photo of earth from “outer space” that is not CGI. All we have are cartoon images and fictional space stories!

Our earth is a terrarium and nothing can get in or out except by God’s portals. He cast the fallen ones to this earth. Our earth is on pillars and has a tent (firmament) stretched over it. If something blows up, it was a missile, not an asteroid. And if some weird creature appears, it’s a demon and not from “outer space.” All lies to deceive people about the fact that WE are the center of God’s realm, not the sun.

Yes, the enemy and his little mates will strive to deceive an unbelieving world. Churches are corrupt these days, light is mixed with darkness, a fake ‘feel good’ Christianity has emerged that preaches tolerance, wealth, being nice, God loves and tolerates everyone and everything, ‘anything goes’ .. just the same old lie the serpent whispered back in the Garden.. Do what you want, you are gods anyway!! Or words to that effect. Moral relativism, lies and plain old sin.

Hold on to the Rock that is Jesus Christ, cling to Him, follow Him, obey Him.. because dear readers I believe from here on in we are going to be in for a bumpy ride!

This may be an old post, but it’s gooooood, and it’s even more important now than it was when it was first written.

I don’t have a shadow of a doubt that UFOs and Aliens are demonic, and I am 110% sure that they’re showing themselves more and more as we are approaching the Rapture.

When I was a young man I believed that everyone that said that they were a Christian was, in fact, a saved Christian. As an older man I know that I was overly optimistic and ridiculously wrong. I always wondered how those left behind would not see that four or five billion Christians had disappeared and would go on to willingly follow, and then worship, the Antichrist. But when you realize that there’s only maybe three, four million people throughout the entire world that would be taken up it’s suddenly much more plausible. The reason why those people left here don’t put two and two together is because of the few billion so-called Christians that will remain on earth. I mean, goodness, if the Pope is still here then it couldn’t possible have been the Rapture, right? And Benny Hinn? Kenneth Copeland? Joyce Meyers? Creflo Dollar? Joel Osteen? Beth Moore? No way those good Christians would miss out! Ha ha.

The simple explanation is to blame our disappearing not upon the Rapture but upon alien mass abduction or disintegration. Those mean ol’ aliens kidnapped/killed those of us who suddenly disappeared! And the Antichrist will lead humanity against the ‘aliens’ who will suspiciously not return to abduct/kill any more humans. Shortly thereafter the Seals are broken, and hell comes to earth.

And so, the closer we get to that glorious day, the more ‘UFO and alien’ activity the world will experience. He’s preparing the Lost to accept his narrative.

Time is running out for those who are Lost and Damned. Reach as many as you can before it is too late.
