Statement of Faith

  1. There exists only one God, who is triune: one God, three persons – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  2. God created the world in a “very good” state. However, this changed when Adam and Eve, who were real, historical people, disobeyed God thus bringing death and sin to the creation. This rebellion against God is the basis for the necessity for our salvation.
  3. All mankind is inherently sinners through Adam and by choice. Thus, we are subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
  4. God the Son, Jesus Christ, was a real, historical man who is also God. He died for our sins on the cross, and through his blood, we receive freedom from the power and penalty of sin. This is available only through his sacrificial death, his shed blood, and his bodily (physical) resurrection from the dead.
  5. The Holy Spirit enables us, as sinners, to repent and believe in Jesus Christ.
  6. The Holy Spirit lives and works in each believer to produce the fruits of righteousness.
  7. Salvation is a gift received by faith alone in Christ alone. It is expressed in the individual’s repentance, recognition and acceptance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as full payment for our sins.
  8. Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
  9. Everything needed for our salvation is in Scripture.
  10. Satan is a real being and is the enemy of both God and man.
  11. People who do not believe in the Lordship and bodily resurrection of Christ are subject to everlasting conscious punishment. Believers will enjoy eternal life with God.
  12. The only legitimate form of marriage is between a man and a woman. Sexual activity is only to occur between one man and woman in a marriage.
  13. There are only two genders: male and female. One cannot change it.
  14. All life is sacred, and this begins at conception. Unborn children are living human beings and are created in the image of God.
  15. The 66 books of the Bible are the written Word of God and is divinely inspired and inerrant (in the original autographs).
  16. The Bible is the supreme authority in everything that it teaches. This includes not only spiritual themes but the historical and scientific as well. Biblical teachings cannot be divided between secular and religious.
  17. We are to interpret the Bible in context and allow it to interpret itself.
  18. No apparent or perceived evidence in any field, like history or science, can be true if it contradicts Scripture. These interpretations are subject to other worldviews that are deemed to be irrational when examined.
  19. Jesus Christ will return as Judge of both the living and the dead.
  20. God’s program in history will be fulfilled in the restoration of the entire creation – the new heavens and new earth. This will include animals as well as human beings.

Enjoyed your article on Abraham and the Chronology of Ancient Mesopotamia. Any suggestions for further reading on the impact of the re-dating based on Ebla tablets? Thanks.

Thank you. Sadly, I do not know of any other books or articles on the re-dating of the Ebla Tablets. Let me know if you ever find any and I’ll do the same.

With so many “Bible study” websites and blogs out there; it is hard to know who is promoting the true traditional Gospel, and who is a heresy, cult, or false prophet. Titles of ministries reveal very little of the nature of a ministry, and yours is no exception. To be honest, your title and subject matter which I saw, smacked of the Watchtower! I have run across dozens of “Bible study’s” with good sounding names, only to find out that a cult or false prophet is behind it. I would like a clear cut statement of faith and belief from you, and what version of the Bible you use and quote from. Only then, might I be intetested in your blog and what you may teach.

The page has been updated with a statement of faith. Take a look. I do have a question for you. What on this site “smacked of the Watchtower”?

Hi Matt. I’d like to use some of your articles to teach a Bible Prophecy class at my local church. I’m not sure if I need to ask permission. Would this be okay? Thanks, Merrill Spring

I would like to thank you and your team for telling me the truth on what the New Earth will actually be instead of God shredding this universe cause isnt God a creator not a destroyer in terms of eradicating everything? IN your article that aliens might be demonic, so is every movie that has aliens in are really demonic or is that different entirely? Once again thank you and God bless

Hello brother, there’s a typo on this page. It says somewhere “The Bible is the supreme authority is everything that it teaches”. The 2nd ‘is’ should be ‘in’.
    God bless.
